Julius Randle’s mother told the Lexington Herald-Leader that Randle won’t be attending Big Blue Madness, and that Randle won’t be at any school’s midnight madness as his homecoming dance is this weekend. Randle is ranked as the top power forward in 2012, and some services have him as the #1 overall player.
That is until Andrew Wiggins reclassifies(officially) to the class of 2013, making him the top small forward, as well as overall player in the 2013 class. Wiggins confirmed he too won’t be at midnight madness as the Canadian phenom heads home to Canada for a three-day weekend. These are currently the two most sought after recruits in all of high school basketball, and most believe their both favoring Kentucky.
Karl Towns Jr., the nation’s top-ranked prospect for the recruiting class of 2015, will visit Duke for their midnight madness on October 12th. It will be quite a madness for Duke as they not only host Towns, but will also be hosting Tyus Jones, the top-ranked point guard in the class of 2014, and Jahlil Okafor, the No. 1 center in the class of 2014. All three players are being recruited by Kentucky, with Towns being the most interested after John Calipari coached Towns during his time with the Dominican National Team.
