The NBA preseason tipped-off today with the Boston Celtics and Rajon Rondo traveling to Turkey to take on Fenerbahce Ulker, one of Europe’s best teams. The Celtics are currently having their training camp in Turkey, and today was their first action of what hopes to be another championsip-contending season, but it got off to a rocky start as they lost to the Fenerbahce, 97-91.

Rondo finished the night with 13 points as he went 3/9 from the field and 6/6 from the free-throw line to go along with nine assists, but did have an uncharacteristic five turnovers.

The Celtics will be back in action on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. as they take on Milano live on NBA TV. Here are some highlights from today’s game:

After yesterday’s commitment of the Harrison twins, their father said the two new commits will attend Big Blue Madness.

In a bit of bad but expected recruiting news (for once), Simeon Career Academy forward Jabari Parker, the nation’s #1-ranked senior(until Andrew Wiggins reclassifies) cut his list to five schools on Friday, and it includes BYU, Duke, Florida, Michigan State and Stanford, but did not include Kentucky.
