It’s officially official. The Harrison twins have pledged their commitments to John Calipari and the University of Kentucky to play (their likely one season of) college basketball at. Interestingly enough they said they planned on playing at UK for FOUR YEARS!
They said they knew they wanted to commit after sitting down one night and deciding they wanted to go to a school where they could win, and Coach Calipari presented a challenge that he would push them everyday, and his track record of high NBA draft picks helped, but they are just focused on showing what they can do at the collegiate level for now.
Say that midnight madness last year was a big deal and how fans treated them like rock stars.
And the crowd cheers as the cameras cut away. Rejoice Big Blue Nation!
Paul Biancardi notes this is the first time the #1 point guard and shooting guard committed to the same school since Wayne Ellington and Ty Lawson committed to Afro-Studies University(North Carolina).
And then there’s this nice nugget:
Kentucky gets commits from Harrison twins, giving #BBN 8 top-5 ESPN 100 recruits since 2009. No other school has more than 2 since 2009.
