2014 is going to be well represented at BBM as 2014 stars JaQuan Lyle and Cliff Alexander will apparently be at Kentucky’s Big Blue Madness on October 12. Or at least they are planning to via Twitter. Alexander is the second best PF in the class and ranked 6th overall. Lyle is the 19th best player in the 2014 class, a 6’4 SG from Evansville. 2013′s Marcus Lee will also be at BBM, and Emmanuel Muddiay is rumored to attend as well. So far, these are the only confirmed names, but there are a lot of rumors floating around, so expect this list to grow a good bit over the next two weeks.

James Young was on campus over the weekend and at least one national recruiting analyst thinks Kentucky is the team to beat.  There was no commitment though and the common thought is that Young is waiting to see what the Harrison Twins do.  Aaron Harrison is the top rated SG in the class and there has been differing views on whether Young is willing to go to UK and possibly play behind Harrison.  Also keep in mind, it’s not a lead pipe cinch Archie Goodwin will be a one and done either.  For these reasons, Young, as much as he likes Kentucky now, will more than likely be a Spring decision.

Speaking of the Harrisons, the calendar has turned to October and we should know their intentions by the end of this month. The Twin’s birthday is October 28 and the rumored announcement date is the 29th, but it has been said several times that this is not a firm date, so really an announcement can come at anytime. I think that there is enough talent in the 2013 class to compensate for the loss of the Harrisons, the Harrisons are very important due to the fact that aside from Andrew Harrison, there really are no viable point guard options for the 2013 class. So if Kentucky misses out on the Harrisons, it is imperative that Ryan Harrow stay another year.

That said, here is new video of the Harrisons:
