Kentucky continues their murderers row of a schedule with the #6 South Carolina Gamecocks coming to town just a week after getting blasted by the Florida Gators 38-0. One just needs to look back to last year to see how ugly this game can be. Kentucky scored the first 3 points of the game but were then blitzed by the Gamecocks to the tune of 54-3. Throw in the fact that South Carolina has been rolling this year and Kentucky football seems to be at a post probationary low and well, many folks are predicting the same type of outcome.

History does not dictate a South Carolina blowout however. This game has been very close for four of the past five years and Kentucky beat South Carolina last time at Commonwealth. And to be fair, Kentucky’s defense showed signs of life last week and Max Smith should be back at QB. Is that enough reason to be optimistic that our Wildcats can keep it close? We will see. Let’s meet the Gamecocks.
