Well, today the Cats face the inevitable against No. 14 Florida in The Swamp, as they are 25-point underdogs. The Cats Illustrated has their keys to the game. One important thing to remember: Kentucky has been outscored by Florida 94-3 in the first quarter of the past four meetings. It’s not too hard to wonder why all the past games against Florida have had something in common.

Anther reason 25 happens to be an important number, in case you are like me and have forgotten: the Cats hold the longest streak of consecutive losses to a single team in 25 against Florida. Joker Phillips was able to break the streak against Steve Spurrier and Tennessee, can he do it again today?

As we try to remain optimistic, let’s remember that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. The Gators face LSU next week, so their task today is to not overlook Kentucky and avoid a possible upset at home.

For you lucky people that participated, Big Blue Madness tickets were on sale this morning and sold out within the first 35 minutes of availability. After 7am this morning, tickets were sold at Memorial Coliseum and online at Ticketmaster.

After being on the road recruiting, Coach Cal managed to make a stop last night at the Big Blue Madness campout and speak with campers. He says the fans have had a great impact on this year’s freshmen. “You have inspired them, no question,” Calipari said. “Because every team I’ve coached, think about it if you’re them and you’re saying, ‘Six hundred tents, three thousand people waiting on tickets to watch me practice. This must be serious.”
