For Kentucky Wildcat Basketball Fans, the waiting for tickets to the annual Big Blue Madness has become as big of an event as BBM. The tickets for the annual event will be distributed tomorrow at 7:00AM, but the line for tickets began officially at 7AM Wednesday morning. But fans lined up across the street even earlier than that. Trust me, people lining up for the iPhone 5 have nothing on the citizens of the Big Blue Nation’s tent city and their passion for Kentucky basketball.
It is what makes Kentucky fans stand out from all the other basketball fans in the nation and it has become an annual event. As you can expect, “Tent City” has only blown up since John Calipari arrived and Calipari has made a point to get his players involved with the event and interacting with fans. Last night was the annual “pizza delivery night” in which Cal and his players delivered pizzas to some lucky fans. Last year, there was a record 570 tents counted and that number is sure to be smashed this year. The officials count at 9:30AM yesterday was 509, so a BBM record seems to be a lock.
Usually every year, a unlikely camper seems to become an instant celebrity for whatever reason and get his 15 minutes of fame. This year, it is a camper known as the “Yellow Tent Guy”.
OF course, “Yellow Tent Guy” is not the only story of BBM. CHeck out the videos of the players handing out pizza and aof Nerlens Noel giving us a glimpse of future dunks.

According to reports, we should know where former Rice Owl Arsalan Kazemi will end up by the end of the weekend. To be honest, I am not sure the level of interest in Kazemi due to the fact he would not play until 2013 and where he would fit in with that class. Kazemi visited Oregon the other night and there is a very good chance he could be a Duck due to the fact that their school semester starts on 9/24. OF course, it could be Kentucky if they get more involved. Coach Cal has a way of making things happen quickly.
There have been a couple of other offers extended by Calipari recently. Kentucky offered 2013 forward Tyler Roberson on Tuesday and 2014′s Jalil Okafor, who is the top rated post player in that class.
