After the dedication of the Joe B. Hall statue outside of the Wildcat Coal Lodge, which is the new dorm for Kentucky Wildcats basketball players, Coach Cal decided that a tour of the Lodge would be a treat for the media who attended the statue unveiling.  The Wildcat Coal Lodge was built with a $7 million donation from coal operators and Joe Craft, CEO of Alliance Resource Partners, who the practice facilities are named after for his $6 million donation.  As a thank you for the generous donation towards the new dorms, there is a photograph on the wall as you walk in that reads, “Kentucky Coal, The Home Team Advantage.”  The ground floor has a dining area, a lounge area complete with a plasma screen television, a pool table, and more.  The upstairs floors consist of either single or double bedrooms.  The interesting thing about the Wildcat Coal Lodge is that over half of the residents are not basketball players, according to Coach Cal.  Naturally, the players want the single rooms as much as any other college students, and the rooms are split up evenly.
