This is about as difficult of a post as I have ever had to write. After winning a game in which the offense looked almost flawless, the Kentucky Wildcats lost to instate rival Western Kentucky at Commonwealth Stadium. The ‘Cats proved the CBS Sports analysts that picked WKU over Kentucky in the pre-season rankings to be correct. Our Big Blue is now the third best team in the state.

The trouble started as Max Smith threw an interception on the first drive of them game. WKU drove the ball down and kicked a field goal to take an early 3-0 lead on the Wildcats. Kentucky answered the score with a stalled drive of their own, and Landon Foster punted at the WKU 43 on a UK three and out.

The first quarter ended as Max Smith threw a second interception and the Kentucky defense was able to stall WKU on a fourth and one play.

The second quarter started off just as bad as Kentucky failed to convert on a fourth and one play as WKU broke up a pass from Max Smith to Aaron Boyd.
