The Most Devoted Fans In College Football Are…..

Yesterday kicked off what I consider the best season of the year, that is college football season. But we all know that the college football season doesn’t officially start until our Kentucky Wildcats take down the Louisville Cardinals on Sunday. Unfortunately there were signs throughout the summer that the season ticket sales for UK football were going to be down this season and The Lexington Herald-Leader confirmed it when they reported that season ticket sales were down 27% from last season. As a diehard fan myself, and a guy who has had season tickets every season since 2004, it is a little heartbreaking to see that some of our fans have given up on the program. And it’s really heartbreaking considering how devoted our fans have been in seasons past when the product on the field wasn’t as appealing. So, being the numbers guy that I am, I decided to mathematically find a way to see which college football team has the most devoted fans. Here’s the formula that I used to determine the results and here’s how the results played out:
