Alright BBN, we got what we wanted when Joker named Maxwell Smith our 2012 starting QB. So now it’s time to “put up or shut up,” and I’m not talking about Joker and Cats. I’m talking about us. The fans.

All last year we crowed and complained and cried like babies about Morgan Newton and our Pee Wee League looking offense, and though it was warranted, man we were brutal. About 5 games into the 2011 season I was certain we should consider moving the football team to a lower division of the BCS or even the FBS. I was down and out. And let’s face it, 2011 was a bad year for us.

But that was last year and this is 2012 and Joker just threw us a bone. That’s right he just threw us a bone. He, along with our entire football team, should be rewarded with our undying devotion this season. Sure he could have chosen Newton and no one would have been shocked based on last year’s curious decisions but, again, he didn’t. He chose Smith and we need to recognize that. We need to act as if the 2011 football season never happened. Well, except the last game.
