#26 CoShik Williams
Last Season: Rushed 118 times for 486 and 3 Touchdowns
After injuries knocked out UK’s top two backs last season, Raymond Sanders and John Clemons, the Cats looked to the seldom used CoShik Williams to be their primary back. After injuries decimated UK’s offense last season and the Cats were scrambling for any offense they could find, Williams answered the cal. He became the Cats’ primary offensive weapon late last season.
After getting only 17 carries through the first 6 games of last year, Williams became the lead back and averaged 17 carries per game during the last 6 games in which the Cats went 3-3, including his 21 carries for 68 yards and the game-winning TD againstTennesseeto end 26 years of misery at the hands of the Vols.
Williams will enter the fall as the #1 back, and is expected to carry the load for the UK offense this year.
