Austin Logan Passes on Kentucky Wildcats, but Deangelo Yancey will be a Cat

 

News broke this morning on the twitter account of Kentucky recruit Rashard Fant that his good friend, wide receiver Deangelo Yancey, was committing to the Kentucky Wildcats, giving Joker Philips his 12th commitment. Yancey is the latest Georgia recruit to pledge to UK, and he picked the Cats over NC State, Buffalo, Ole Miss, and Wake Forest amongst others. Scout.com rated as the #125 receiver prospect, along with a three-star rating.

Yancey was sold on UK and the cahnce of coming in and being a significant contributor:

They told me I can come in and be the guy.

 

With the Cats set to lose Gene McCaskill, La’Rod King, E.J. Fields, and Aaron “Boy Ol” Boyd after this season to graduation, he’ll certainly hav every chance to play as a true freshman.
