The numbers are out from the guys that know best in Vegas and they are counting on Louisville to beat Kentucky by 13 points or more. Kentucky was the favorite last year at Commonwealth Stadium and we all saw what happened there. This is a rivalry game and anything can happen.

But the fact that it’s a rivalry is not the only reason why I am extremely skeptical about Louisville winning by 13. Remember, this is the same Louisville team that went 7-6 with losses that included Marshall and FIU. Louisville is extremely young and is relying on sophomores at key positions including quarterback and wide receiver.

Kentucky is also relying on a sophomore at quarterback, but their backfield and receivers are more seasoned as is the defense. The hype surrounding Louisville has to do more with the fact that they are a garbage schedule than the fact that they are good. I could be wrong, but Louisville doesn’t scare me one bit. The 13 point spread is another motivator or Kentucky and another reason for the Cards to continue their cockiness and dismissive attitude toward the Wildcats.
