Keith Bogans signs free agent deal with Brooklyn Nets

Late last night, former Cat Keith Bogans was re-signed by the Brooklyn Nets. Contract details were not released, but it is certainly good news for him, after not being able to play a full season since before the lockout in 2010-11. Rumor is that the Nets are still interested in picking up Nazr Mohammed, so we could potentially see two UK veterans on that team.

John Calipari will be back at the Peach Jam today to check out some more prospects, such as Julius Randle, Dakari Johnson, Andrew Wiggins, etc. What I don’t get is how he does it. How is he able to sit through this many games is unbelievable. Most I’ve sat through is seven. Here is the link with today’s game schedule.

If you have been keeping up with the SEC Media Days, Nick Saban recently proposed that the SEC go ahead and allow teams to schedule nine conference games. You are comparing apples and oranges here, but compared to basketball, I like the idea of adding another conference game on the schedule; the conference expansion allows for more competition within conference play. Tony Barnhart of CBS Sports takes a deeper look at Saban’s proposal.

In case you were watching The Dark Knight Rises premiere last night, Team USA throttled Great Britain 188-78 in Manchester yesterday. Anthony Davis had 11 points in last night’s win.

And also last night, a tragedy occured at a premiere in which 12 were killed and 50 wounded from a shooting outside a movie theatre. It is very unfortunate to imagine someone would want something like this to happen. Thoughts and prayers to those families affected in Auroa, Colorado.
