As we move closer to the 2014 recruiting season, Theo Pinson is a name to keep an eye on. He is already an elite player, but he has the potential to be top five in the class. He has a certain swagger about him and can score from almost anywhere on the court, although he still needs to work on his long range jumper. And sespite being 6-5 or 6’6 (depending on the service), Pinson is a solid shot blocker and averaged 3.0 blocks a game in high school. He also played for the gold winning US U16 team in 2011.
Thing is for Pinson, the 2014 class has a ton of huge talent ahead of him at the SF position, including Kentucky targets Andrew Wiggins and Justise Winslow. As expected, there is a long list of suitors for Pinson and it includes Connecticut, Duke, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Tennessee, Wake Forest amoung others. Offers have started to roll in and teams like North Carolina andIndiana have offered. According to some sites, Maryland and Duke have made him top priorities for their 2014 classes.
Kentucky has not offered, but he is still on Calipari’s radar. Let’s take a look at how ESPN scouted him as well as some mix videos.
