That’s right, add another Blaylock from Georgia to the defense for the Wildcats. But this Blaylock is not related to Daron, Zack or Mookie. He is ranked as a three star player by both Scout.com and Rivals.com. He also received offers from Illinois and Indiana, but picked Kentucky after a camp visit to UK and a call from Randy Sanders, citing the chance to play in the SEC as the tipping point for his decision.
Blaylock is part of a pipeline established by the SEC coming out of Stone Mountain, Georgia. He was the sixth player coming from Stephenson High School in the Atlanta suburb to commit to an SEC school. Here is what Blaylock had to say about six players from his school committing to SEC schools:
It’s ridiculous. I can’t even put it into words. SEC football is the best. And we’ve got six going there. Well, at least six.
Stephenson went 9-2 overall last season. Blaylock was a big contributor on both ends of the ball, playing both defensive back and receiver. He is a dual threat that could return kicks for Kentucky as well as play some offense in different packages for the Wildcats.
