Few men have impacted the NBA more than Pat Riley has in his 39 seasons as an NBA Player, coach, and executive. His Miami Heat just won the NBA Championship, and Riley was largely credited in bringing together the Heat’s “Big 3″ of Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade, and LeBron James, as well as surrounding them with talented role players such as Mike Miller, who scored 23 points in their series-clinching victory in game 5 of the NBA Finals.

Few men in pro basketball history to significantly impact the game as a player, coach, and executive, but Riley has been able to do just that while playing alongside all-time greats like Jerry West, to coaching two of the all-time greats in Magic Johnson, Patrick Ewing, and Shaquile O”Neal, to assembling a team compromised of two of the best players in this era in Dwayne Wade and LeBron James.
