As we are coming down from last night’s draft high, we must now face the reality that six very popular and very likable young men are no longer Wildcats. Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Terrence Jones, Marquis Teague, Doron Lamb and Darius Miller have all gone on to realize there dreams in the NBA.
Coach Cal is now charged with the task of reloading once again with almost all freshmen. He has already stated that he will more than likely start three freshmen and maybe even four if he uses the twin tower approach with Nerlens Noel and Willie Cauley-Stein.
As we grow to enjoy watching these players grow together and win games, we must not forget that a 2013 NBA draft lurks and it will once again take multiple Kentucky Wildcats.
