The Charlotte Bobcats have selected former Kentucky forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist with the second pick in the draft. Kidd-Gilchrist has come a long way, from his days at St. Patrick’s in New Jersey as a McDonald’s All-American to starting at Kentucky and helping the Cats to win their eighth national championship. Despite his personal struggles, he was able to overcome those and succeed on the court. Kidd-Gilchrist and Davis are the first two to go back-to-back as the first and second pick from the same school in the NBA Draft.
