After stunning the Heat in Miami and taking a 3-2 lead in the series, Boston had a chance to send the Heat home early in Boston on Thursday night. But LeBron James exploded for 45 points and the Heat blasted the Celtics 98-79, forcing a game seven back in Miami.
It is again do-or-die time for Rajon Rondo and his teammates. The Celtics are looking to go to their third finals series in the last five years, but it’s not going to be easy. While Rondo and Kevin Garnett have been consistent throughout the conference finals, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen have been up and down at times. The Boston bench has been inconsistent as well, with meaningful minutes being played by Michael Pietrus and Marquis Daniels.
Miami has major problems of their own. Outside of LeBron and Dwayne Wade, the Heat are relying on an injured Chris Bosh and a lackluster cast of characters featuring Shane Battier, Mario Chalmers and Mike Miller.
