Mythbusters: Debunking the Myth of the Louisville Cardinals as BCS Football Contenders

 

Normally I don’t dedicate a whole post to a rivals program but there is a wildfire of a myth growing in parts of Jefferson County that Charlie Strong has a BCS contender on his hands.  Granted, it’s not a nationally held belief and this though seems to exist purely in the birdbrains of Cardinal football boosters, but I am tired of getting emails and having my Twitter feed deluged from Cardinal fans promising a “butt whupping” for UK and dominance from Louisville football in the BCS ranks. Unfortunately, I am buying into the rivalry hook, line and sinker and there are some things that need to be said.  In the tradition of the TV show “mythbusters”, let’s look and see if this is a valid claim.
