“Poor” Choice of Words
John Calipari is always great for quotes and soundbites. It’s hard to nail down which one is my favorite, but this week I may have found it. During a press conference at his uber-expensive fantast camp, Cal laid down one of the greatest insults ever directed at IU fans and their alleged unwillingness to travel down the street to Lucas Oil Stadium for a neutral court game against Kentucky:
They are only two hours away. Are they poor? They couldn’t get to that building? Our students are going.
Ouch. Tom Crean sort of responded in a lame video that was posted. I’m not going to share it because A). Tom Crean creeps me out and B). He just rambles like an old lady with Alzheimer’s through most of it.
