Flashback if you will to 2004. Kentucky Wildcats coach Tubby Smith had just brought in a heralded recruiting class. A class that many considered as one of the top classes in college basketball. It consisted of few guards (Rajon Rondo, Joe Crawford, and Ramel Bradley) and a center (Randolph Morris). One of those guards, Rajon Rondo, has prospered in the NBA and very well might be on his way to eventually being inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame..
As Bob Ryan told me, there is nobody like Rondo. Nobody. That’s high praise coming from someone who has been referred to as a basketball guru.
