Holmes County (FL), Bonifay, FL

6’9”, 220 PG/SG

Scout Ranking: ***** #1 Power Forward, #6 Overall

Rivals Ranking: ***** #2 Power Forward, #6 Overall

ESPN Ranking: ***** #3 Power Forward, #7 Overall

The power forward has been an intriguing position the past three seasons with John Calipari at the helm, considering the talent he has brought in and also developed at this position. DeMarcus Cousins, Terrence Jones, Patrick Patterson, Anthony Davis, and Nerlens Noel are just some of the names that come to mind. As for Kentucky’s future, the Cats already have Derek Willis lined up in the 2013 class. Another name the Cats should look at and will probably need is Chris Walker.

This 6-foot-9 power forward (depending on who you ask) from Florida is explosive underneath the basket. He developed from a small forward into a power forward the past two seasons, which has enabled him with the ability to drive from wherever: the wing, baseline, or the elbow.  He is physical and his game is reminiscent of a Greg Monroe or CJ Leslie: lean, long, and aggressive. Defensively, he is able to block shots with ease.

At Kentucky, he would be a perfect fit if the Cats were to lost the likes of Noel, Poythress, and Cauley-Stein or Wiltjer. His game also fits perfectly at Kentucky. So far, the schools he holds offers from are Florida, Florida St., Kansas, and Ohio State. Baylor, North Carolina, and Kentucky are all in the running for him as well.
