Many of Kentucky’s graduated seniors are pursuing their NFL dreams this week in rookie camps. Some were drafted, others signed as undrafted free agents and more as try-out players. I tweeted last week about Billy Joe Murphy and Taiedo Smith being last-minute invites to the Cincinnati Bengals rookie try-outs. As a huge Bengals fan, I’ve watched the team my whole life and got a good feeling about Smith’s chances to make the club. Well, call me a prophet whenever you like. Bengals.com mentioned Taiedo specifically when discussing the camps and it sounds like he has made a good impression. Marvin Lewis loves versatile DBs who can play safety and corner.

“One guy to keep an eye on is last-minute add, Kentucky cornerback Taiedo Smith. Smith, who played a little nickel safety for the Wildcats, has been all over the place with at least three picks and getting a hand on a ton of passes.”
