Kentucky Wildcats Basketball: Previewing the 2012 NBA Draft

Draft Express has not had an update on their mock draft since April 27th.  Under their mock draft, just rename the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Cleveland Wildcats.  DE has the former Kentucky Wildcats going as follows:

1. Charlotte Bobcats: Anthony Davis, PF
3. Cleveland Wildcats Cavaliers: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, SF
11. Portland Trailblazers: Terrence Jones, PF
19: Orlando Magic: Marquis Teague, PG

In the second round:
33. Cleveland Wildcats Cavaliers (via New Orleans Hornets): Doron Lamb, SG
34. Cleveland Wildcats Cavaliers: Darius Miller, SF

Over at CBS Sports, Jeff Goodman did a mock draft for the first round only.  Where does he have the ex-Wildcats going?

With regards to that particular mock draft, I have a personal bias on this one.  I am a Celtics fan.  Ray Allen is getting old and might even retire during the offseason but I don’t know for sure.  Nothing would please me more than to see another former Kentucky player playing for the Celtics.  While I realize Avery Bradley has had a breakout season, I’d like to see another perimeter scorer for the Cs.

But just by glancing at a few of these picks, the only clear consensus is Anthony Davis going first in the draft.
