Wight State transfer Julius Mays is currently on his way to visit Purdue this weekend. As of now, he’s the most likely player to join the 2012 class, even though he’ll be a 5th-year senior. Still, the current UK team has no established 3-point shooters outside of Kyle Wiltjer. Mays shot 48% this past season at Wright State, and its believed he’s down to Purdue and UK.

Nerlens Noel continues to be in the news for the recent NCAA inquiry into his eligibility. Every major news outlet has gotten ahold of this story, though almost all of them  are saying the same thing: don’t worry about it. ESPN even had as much to say:

Chances are,Kentuckycoach John Calipari and his athletics and compliance staff have done their own due diligence on Noel’s situation, and wouldn’t have taken him if they weren’t sure they wouldn’t run the risk of NCAA penalties. Until the NCAA finds something to counter that stance, this is a story to watch. But it’s nothing out of the ordinary, not just yet.
