Kentucky Travels to Bloomington….For Baseball

by 4 PM Headlines

Hey, you guys.

I would rather sit outside and watch grass grow than to watch baseball anywhere but at the stadium, but I did keep one eye on the Kentucky/Indiana game today, but in reality it was just another meaningless, regular season game. Kind of like the basketball game was in Bloomington earlier in the year. Kentucky didn’t win the basketball game, but they sure got away with one today in Bloomington.

Kentucky won 6-5 in 12 innings over a rather hot Indiana team earlier today in their first extra inning game of the year. This improves Kentucky to 38-11 overall on the season and 23-2 in the non conference slate. I’m sure had Indiana upset the top ranked Wildcats in this game, the fans would have stormed the field and maybe added a trophy to the trophy case in Assembly Hall for doing so.

I’m not going to pretend to know a lot about baseball, so you can go review the box score and story here at UK: http://www.ukathletics.com/sports/m-basebl/recaps/050912aaa.html
