It is official that Wright State transfer Julius Mayes has an offer from the Kentucky Wildcats and that the Wildcats have a “high interest level” in him.  Personally, I think that Mayes would be a great addition to the roster as he would provide some senior leadership to a very young roster.  Mayes is a 6’2, 195 pound combo guard and could get plenty of minutes either at point guard or shooting guard next year for UK.  Ryan Harrow and Archie Goodwin figured to start as of now, but it is a very thin back court with Jon Hood, Twany Beckham, and Jarrod Polson figured to battle for the back-up minutes.  None of the players received significant playing time last year and Jon Hood is a question mark due to a knee injury that kept him out all last season.   Kentucky may also add freshman Torrian Graham, but there is speculation if he would qualify.  Mayes should be able to play immediately and you can not understimate the senior leadership.
