The Kentucky Wildcats finally got a win in their series against Florida with a 2-1 win this afternoon. Cory Littrell pitched eight strong innings and Trevot Gott a scoreless ninth to break a Wildcat losing streak. Littrell is now 7-0 on the season and Gott set a school record with his 9th save. Kentucky improved to 37-11 on the season and 15-9 in the SEC. Despite the recent struggles, Kentucky is very much alive in the SEC race and the schedule is very favorable the rest of the way. The win today should keep Kentucky right around the top five in the country and they should not fall too drastically.
