A few football recruiting tidbits:

  • QB Brogan Roback was believed to be high on the Cats wish-list for 2013 but apparently isn’t hearing much from Kentucky lately. Apparently the coaches have cooled on Roback. He recently failed to make the Elite 11 competition and holds offers from a handful of MAC schools.
  • There is growing buzz that Kentucky is in the driver seat for Khalid Thomas, brother of ’12 signee Kadeem “Pancho” Thomas. Khalid has already visited Lexington with his brother and their mother supposedly really wants them to go to school together.
  • 4* ATH Myles Nash visited during the week of the Blue/White game and really enjoyed himself. The Cats are high on his list and his teammate Dejaun Drennon’s. Especially after Drennon’s leader, Penn State, signed 2 defensive ends recently.
  • GA WR Tyree Harris visited Clemson, no word if he was offered a scholarship.  Several sources have said that Harris loves Kentucky and may have already tried to commit, but was held off by the coaches. Understandable if true, as the staff is working with less scholarships than normal this year.
