Thoughts: This class has to be considered a disappointment. Only five players are projected to start for Kentucky in 2012 and If Adams gives up football to focus on his promising baseball career AND Sam Simpson can’t get past his chronic injury issues, 50% of this class will have either not qualified or not completed their eligibility. On top of that, Morgan Newton’s future is very cloudy after an injury ended his junior season prematurely. Very few of the members of the 2009 class have become standouts in their time at UK. Only five players are projected starters at this point (Cobble, King, Mitchell, Neloms, Warford) and only four other players are expected to contribute any meaningful time (Aumiller, George, Johnson, Kendrick) with Morgan Newton being a wildcard.
