The Kentucky Wildcat’s Danny Trevathan heard his name called today in the  6th  round of the NFL Draft.  Trevathan was picked at number 18   in the round and 188th  overall.  You can’t help but think that Trevathan was a steal for the Broncos  as he was the SEC’s leading tackler the past two seasons.  Over the past two seasons, Danny had 287 tackles, 27.5 tackles for a loss, 9 forced fumbles, 6 sacks and 4 interceptions. One thing was thought to hurt Trevathan was his size, but several services had him as a sleeper and as a very underrated prospect.  Regardless, you don’t lead the SEC in tackles for two straight years and finish 6th nationally in tackles this year (despite not having a bowl game to boost his totals) without having some talent.

Trevathan joins a literal stable of former Wildcats with the Broncos as Jacob Tamme, Wesley Woodyard, and Jeremy Jarmon are currently on the Denver roster.
