Mark Lyon Likely Headed to Arizona Wildcats

 

The chances of Xavier transfer Mark Lyons ending up a Wildcat is “done deal”. Write it down. Book it. Take that bet to the Derby.

Problem is, those Wildcats will not be the boys in blue who reside in Lexington, Kentucky, but more likely the ones who bask under the Tucson sun in Arizona.

Mark Lyons was originally recruited by current Arizona Head Coach Sean Miller while miller was still the head man at Xavier, so their obviously going to be a strong relationship there. Lyons would have been a great addition to this year’s team, but with Ryan Harrow and Archie Goodwin to man the guard spots, its by no means a big loss for John Calipari.

 

The Cats may have added another target for the 2012 recruiting class in Virginia Tech recruit and top 100 forward Montrezl Harrell. He’s expected to get his release from Tech after the school fired HC Seth Greenberg. Kentucky is on the short list of schools he’s interested in, according to Scout Focus.
