Nerlens Noel Embracing the Role of a Future Kentucky Wildcat

When Nerlens Noel verbally committed to the University of Kentucky on April 11th, you could already tell that he wanted to make his own mark on the program, become his own player, and have his own style.  Shaving the UK symbol into the back of his head was a perfect way to start his career as a Kentucky Wildcat.  At the University of Kentucky, a player cannot be the type of player who wants to fade out of the spotlight.  A Wildcat needs to be able to step into the spotlight everyday that they are a member of this team.  The player has to be able to deal with the national attention in the media, both the home and away fans, added on to the rough season.  Often times, it takes a freshman a while to develop the ability to step into that role and embrace it fully, but Nerlens Noel seems to have already embraced it.
