That blurry image of the person that you see aside from John Calipari and a referee is Tom Crean. I am sure that he is reacting to Cody Zeller getting his second foul in the first half or an amazing play from Terrence Jones. The two coaches that are pictured will be heading two of the top three teams in the country next season.

Depending 0n which preseason rankings you look at, the top three look to be Kentucky, Indiana and Louisville, all interchangeable at 1-3. The state of North Carolina is now looking at the “Kentuckiana” region with envy, as the college basketball Mecca has shifted westward toward the Ohio River.

It just so happens that these three teams are heated rivals; well, Kentucky and Indiana are rivals as well as Kentucky and Louisville; IU and UofL don’t have much of a history playing each other despite their close proximity.

If the rankings hold up, the 2012-2013 college basketball season should be one of historic proportions in the region. If the rankings hold up, that is…
