Earlier this week when Nerlens Noel made his decision to commit to the University of Kentucky, Coach Cal’s recruiting class was finally taking shape. With almost certainly all 5 starters from this season’s team leaving for the NBA Draft, the main concern for next year’s team is the power forward position. Less than 24 hours ago, former UCONN Huskie Alex Oriakhi decided to transfer to Missouri over UK and a couple other schools. This leaves one player in this recruiting class that can take over the power forward position for next season. Anthony Bennett, the #7 overall ranked player in the 2012 class, has yet to visit any schools, but now that most of the other top recruits have said where they will be going, Bennett should be making his decision soon. Bennett is considering Kentucky, Florida, Washington, Oregon, and UNLV, but the frontrunners appear to be UK and Florida. Tonight, in the Jordan Brand Classic, UK commits Nerlens Noel, Alex Poythress, and Archie Goodwin, will all be playing. Goodwin and Poythress will be on the West Team alongside Bennett, while Noel will suit up for the East Team.
