What a week to be a Wildcat. Coach John Calipari and the men’s basketball team  brought home national championship #8 Monday night. Kentucky baseball was voted #1 in America this week. Spring football practice is ongoing. And let’s face it, it’s always good to be a Wildcat. Let’s take a look around Kentucky sports for some updates.

Kentucky baseball lost to #21 Ole Miss 9-3 today, ending their 21 game home winning streak. Even with the loss it is unlikely that the Cats will lose their #1 ranking.

Basketball freshman Anthony Davis claims he will take the full time allotted to decide between declaring for the NBA draft and returning to school. Please don’t get excited, it practically inconceivable that Davis would pass up the millions that come with being the top pick in the draft.

Now regarding football, tailback turned corner Marcus Caffey is impressing coaches already this spring. Caffey is currently first-team at cornerback opposite senior Cartier Rice. The coaches really like his size and physicality. Joker seemed encouraged by new starters Malcolm McDuffen and Miles Simpson play  at linebacker. He also raved about sophomore Bud Dupree and his future as the next great UK linebacker.  Redshirt freshman Josh Forrest continues to impress, recording a pick-six in today’s scrimmage.
