In the second half, the Wolfpack never gave up their lead, despite multiple momentum shifts in San Diego State’s favor.  North Carolina State pulled away at the end and the final score is not really indicative as to how close the game really was.  The Wolfpack got the win over the Aztecs, 79-65.

The Wolfpack were led by Richard Howell’s 22 points and Lorenzo Brown’s 17 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists.  San Diego State was led by Jamaal Franklin’s 23 points and 8 rebounds, as well as, Chase Tapley’s 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.

North Carolina State moves on to play on Sunday against the winner of the #3 Georgetown vs. #14 Belmont game later today.
