On the final Sunday of the regular season of college basketball, the Kentucky Wildcats traveled to Gainesville to take on the Florida Gators. The Cats entered the game 15-0 in the SEC and had a chance to finish off a perfect SEC season, while Florida was honoring guard Erving Walker for their Senior day, and the Gators needed a bounce back after losing two-straight and four of their last seven, and another loss would knock them from the #2 seed in the SEC to the #4 seed. The crowd was electric and the game would feature a match-up of elite big-men, pitting Anthony Davis against Florida center Patrick Young, both of whom would have career days, but only one player would carry his team to victory.
