It was just over a month ago when the Kentucky Wildcats took their newly minted status as the number one team in the country on the road to Athens to face the Georgia Bulldogs. It wasn’t pretty, but Kentucky used 19 points from Darius Miller off the bench to beat the Bulldogs 57-44. Kentucky used spurts of 10-0 and 10-1 in the first half to pull out to a 38-26 halftime lead but went ice cold in the second half, shooting just 30% but escaped without drama. That game seemed to spark Kentucky as their sluggish play disappeared and the Wildcats won their next four games by an average of 25.75 points. The Bulldogs have turned into spoiler in the SEC race with a 22 point win over Arkansas, and wins over then rated #18 Mississippi State and #11 Florida last week. The Bulldogs are not a good road team and are just 1-6 on the road in the SEC, losing by double digits to Florida (22), Vanderbilt (11), and Tennessee (11). It’s senior night in Lexington and we don’t have to remember how the Bulldogs spoiled Kentucky’s senior night in 2009. Incidentially, that game was Kentucky’s last loss at home. Let’s meet the Bulldogs.
