Wildcats continue special season

The Wildcats clinched the SEC regular season title outright by defeating the Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday. This is their second regular season crown out of the past two years. If I’m not mistaken (and most often I am), the Wildcats and the Syracuse Orange are the only two teams to have the regular season titles sewn up at this point, which is quite an accomplishment.

Kentucky has been thriving with stellar play from Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist for the entire game and with Darius Miller in crunch time. But if any one of these players is having an off night or is on the bench with foul trouble, one or two of their teammates step up to pick up the slack. This well rounded basketball team has positioned itself to be only the third squad to ever go through the SEC without a blemish on their record. The previous two were in 1996 and 2003, both were Wildcat teams as well.
