Congratulations to John Calipari and Kentucky Men’s basketball team for extending their home win streak to 50 game today with a victory over the Ole Miss Rebels. The Rebs made it interesting for a while, even taking a lead close to halftime, but the Cats pulled away to a 77-62 win.  Terrence Jones got his first double-double of the season and 5 players scored in double digits. Next up is Mississippi State down in Starkville, UK is a definite favorite but it could get interesting. The Cats have traditionally struggled in Starkville, but don’t expect an upset.

Today was the first of two Junior Day events for Joker Phillips and Kentucky Football. A variety of prospects from across Kentucky and a few from Ohio were in Lexington today to interact with the coaches and see campus. They were also scheduled to attend the basketball game. With Steeler’s coach Mike Tomlin in the house, the coaches probably introduced him to recruits. Or at least “bumped into “ him.  Hopefully this weekend will net a commit or two, last year DL Thomas Chapman and LB Josh Harris both committed to the Cats after receiving offers on Junior Day.

If you haven’t attended a Kentucky Hockey game all season or ever, there is still time! The puck drops at Midnight at the Lexington Ice Center tonight. It’s the final home game of the season, so tonight is Senior Night. The CoolCats face off against the Dayton Flyers and say farewell to Hunter Lyons, Billy Glass, Michael Getz, Sean Wittman, Danny Graham, and Matt Bougie.
