Coach Cal on Scott Van Pelt Show

John Calipari was a guest on the Scott Van Pelt show today. He talked about tomorrow’s open practice and reiterated he was doing this to avoid the week-off letdown the team suffered when they lost to Indiana after having a week off between games. He talked about doing individual work today to prepare for tomorrow’s scrimmage. He also said that over 1,000 fans have signed up to come tomorrow. Cal also talked about Anthony Davis and how he’s been blessed to coach him. He also talked about Marquis Teague and compared him to his past point guards and how Teague’s stats are starting to compare to guys like Derrick Rose and John Wall. Cal then talked about how he wants his team to keep getting better so that they’re playing their best basketball in March like last year.
