It is mid-February and Kentucky is in better shape now compared to the same time last season, although it was a rebuilding year. Compare this team with the 2010 Cats, and they have the same record. Each team was different: different players, different system, and even different uniforms (kind of). In 2010, it was the freshman phenoms that led the Cats to that impressive record. Last year, it was the leadership late in the season to be able to close out games to have a successful “rebuilding” season. This year, you might say it’s the defense. The Cats have been quite impressive on defense, not allowing their opponents to score even 80 points and we’re already 26 games into the season. But this team has a double threat: Offense.
