Earlier today, Adam Zagoria reported that Amile Jefferson, the 12th rated player in the 2012 class was likely down to Duke and North Carolina State as his college choices. In the past few years, the news that a top rated player was dropping Kentucky from his list would have caused mass hysteria and panic among the masses and force a few bluebloods to the ledge of the tallest building in town.

Not anymore. When it comes to Kentucky recruiting, the offer sheet to a player should be emblazened as “In Cal We Trust”.

You have to admit that John Calipari has the college basketball recruiting thing down. Not only does he have have the best job in college basketball, he seemingly gets to pick and choose which top rated players make their way to Lexington. Most coaches would welcome a five star player … any five star player to grace their roster, but comments that he made earlier today suggest that he has turned players away that just don’t fit what he is looking for.
