Kentucky Wildcats Basketball: Former Cats in the NBA 1/2 Edition

Rajon Rondo Boston Celtics Point Guard

Rondo has been the only consistan bright spots for the aging Celtics this season. He faced off against one of his former Wildcats last night when Boston took on John Wall and the Washington Wizards. Rondon messed around and got a triple double, scoring 18 points with 11 rebounds and 14 assists in the Celtics win over the Wiz.

John Wall Washington Wizards Point Guard

Not to be outdone by Rondo, Wall had a very nice game himself. Wall put up 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists in his bid for a triple double. The second year pro has a ton of upside but has very little help around him. Wall is going to be on Rondo’s level soon enough.

Chuck Hayes Sacramento Kings Center

Hayes started over banished team mate Demarcus Cousins and put up a very solid 6 points and 10 rebounds in a six point victory over the Hornets.

DeMarcus Cousins Sacramento Kings Center

Cousins did not make the game as he was told to stay home by head coach Paul Westphal. There are conflicting reports that he threw a fit after the Kings loss to the Knicks, yelled at Westphal and demanded a trade. Cousins agent states that all of this is flase. It’s a battle of words between Westphal and Cousins. I am a Boogie fan for life, but it seems that DeMarcus is the one in the worng here. As a second year pro he is in no position to demand a trade. Cousins tenure in Sac Town has been rife with contreversy and I don’t see a happy ending in this story for our boy Boogie. We will keep you posted.
