Nerlens Noel's teammates think he should go to Kentucky

by Morning 5 for

This is actually NOT Nerlens Noel...

We are still a bit aways from looking at the 2013 recruiting class, but if the teammates of the classes top center had to choose, it’s a unanimious decision that Noels should go to Kentucky.  Or so they say in this video from fivestarbasketball:

In case you missed it, our Alan Smith had the chance to talk to top 2012 recruit Shabazz Muhammad at the City of Palms Classic this weekend.  And yesterday, John Calipari got his whole staff together and headed down to Florida to watch Shabazz play.

Shabazz was not the only big target playing in the Classic however. Cal and company also watched 2012′s Amile Jefferson, 2013′s Nerlens Noel and Julius Randle, and 2014′s Wayne Selden.

Closer to home, Rick Pitino made an appearance at the King of the Bluegrass Tournament to watch Derek Willis play. The WBN’s Corey Price told me that Willis’s dad was wearing a Louisville hat.

Terrence Jones did not practice on Monday, which means if he plays, he probably will no start.  At leat that is what John Calipari said after practice.  More than likely, Jones will be a game time decision, but I would not hold your breath to see him tonight.  And since Kentucky plays at 1:00 PM on Thursday, I would doubt that it makes much sense to play him before Christmas.  But nothing is official.  Just my opinion.

And finally today, John Calipari has some video up on his webpage where he, Doron Lamb, and Darius Miller met with the media in advance of tonight’s game with Samford.  Check them out here.
