University of Kentucky football recruiting: Cats add fourth commitment to 2012 class

Over the holiday weekend the Kentucky football team received its fourth commitment for the 2012 class when receiver DeMarcus Sweat pledged to join the Wildcats. Sweat is the first receiver in the class and he looks like he was a great catch for Joker and his staff. He’s listed anywhere from 6’1 to 6’2 and reports have him running his forty-yard dash anywhere from the 4.3 to the 4.4 second range, meaning he has good height and blazing speed. He’ll be joining Ray Sanders, Ronnie Shields, and Jabari Johnson as another Stephenson High School Jaguar turned Kentucky Wildcat. Paul posted some video of DeMarcus this weekend when news of his commitment broke, but I’ve included it again here as well as a link to and article about Sweat’s commitment from the Atlanta Journal Constitution newspaper HERE. It looks like Kentucky has tapped the Stephenson pipeline for a really promising player, and it bears noting that there are still a couple of Sweat’s teammates hearing from UK.
